The Grange, a beautiful Victorian property stands proudly in its own grounds. Formally a school, the premises is now used by the public as a day centre & bar.

1st vigil - Attic  (team 1) Darren, Cindy, Chris & Kevin.  (Mark & Lloyd near corridor).

EMF: NIL

TEMP:18oc

HUMIDITY: 6%

Cindy & Chris are immediately aware of a cold spot in centre of the room.

11.27pm – Chris gets the feeling the team are being watched from the corner of the room. Darren hears a long drawn out sigh. (Mark & Lloyd return to the rest of the group).  Everyone present are  hit  suddenly by a stench of stale beer. Lloyd then reports of being hit right in the stomach.

Cindy & Colin vacate the building due to other work commitments.

2nd vigilfunction room  (team 2) Drew, Fiona, Lloyd & Chris.

EMF: NIL

TEMP:17oc

Drew calls out to “Edward”, the alleged  ghost that frequents The Grange. Everyone present become aware of a dragging noise coming from the main entrance of the building, just outside the function room. Drew then feels a very cold breeze! (Could this be Edward making his presence known?)

2nd vigil (team 1) Darren, Mark & Kevin. Old school room (the green room)

Taps & bumps are heard & recorded.

Large, bright light anomaly captured by Mark on camcorder. Darren feels something caress his behind – nobody is standing near Darren at the time!

3rd vigil (teams swap rooms)

Function roomDarren’s team conduct a séance. Dictaphone records “hello” & “Gunter”.  Please note “Gunter” is a German word, interestingly enough, German soldiers were held here in World War II!

Green room – Temperature drops & bumps are recorded. Fiona’s hip is squeezed. Lloyd suddenly develops a headache which comes & goes throughout the vigil.

The door into the green room that was securely shut tight begins to bang with some force after Fiona calls out to ask if any spirits were present. ( the team check that nobody is on the other side of the door to cause this phenomenon.)

3am-  teams re-group to perform a joint séance in the green room.

Fiona leads the séance, again calling out to any spirits which might still be present. Immediately, a dogs bark is clearly heard in the area. The door then  starts to bang as before. An ice cold breeze is then felt by everyone in the room.

Mark then proceeds to communicate in German with no results.

Drew plays the piano which is situated in the room, the temperature suddenly drops from 19oc- 14oc in ten seconds. As soon as Drew stops playing the piano, the temperature returns to normal!

4.38am investigation ends.

The Grange warrants further investigation, in the near future we shall return to discover more. The night was indeed enjoyed by all & proved to us something unknown & unseen lurked through the corridors & walls of the Grange.

Many thanks go to Colin & Cindy Nunn.
