I grew up in a "haunted" house, therefore anything that happened out of the ordinary seemed normal to me. Many strange occurrences happened in the house, all unexplainable. Throughout my life, I have experienced paranormal phenomena which fascinates me so much. Because of this, I became involved with groups that dedicate their spare time gaining knowledge of survival evidence that life continues on another realm after we depart from this world. For me, working as part of a team enables me to pursue my passion and, who knows, come face to face with a "ghost" some day!

I've been interested in all things paranormal for as long has I can remember ,and have read countless books on the subject. I lived in an alleged, haunted house in Yorkshire when I was young, and saw and heard things that I couldn't explain. Whether or not it was down to my imagination I don't really know. Now I'm older, and more open minded I can look at such events from a different perspective.

I've witnessed so called paranormal phenomena on numerous investigations, and even seen and made contact with the ghost of Washington Old Hall, which still baffles me to this day. But is this really proof of life after death? Investigating the paranormal with G.H.O.S.T, will hopefully bring me closer to answering that question and many others.

I founded The North East Ghost Research Team in May 2003, Co-founded G.H.O.S.T in Jan 2005, and WraithScape - Paranormal in 2008 after a lifelong interest in ghosts and the paranormal. My ghostly experiences as a child growing up led me to wonder if there really was a life after death and ultimately gave me the interest and passion I have today. My main ghost hunting Influences are the late great Harry Price who was the pioneer of modern day ghost hunting, Peter Underwood, who, after nearly five years of writing to, had the privilege of meeting in London in December 2008.
I have subsequently penned over ten books on ghosts and hauntings which include Haunted Newcastle, Ghost Hunter, In Search of Ghosts, Paranormal North East, Supernatural North, The South Shields Poltergeist, Ghost Taverns, Haunted Durham, Haunted Berwick, Ghosts at Christmas, and have more in preparation such as The Haunting of Willington Mill, Contagion, Haunted Tyneside and Haunted Northumberland.

I joined the team in 2008 after a life-long interest in ghosts and the paranormal. I have always had a keen interest in the paranormal due to my parents and grandparents telling me stories of their experiences. My interest became more prominent when I awoke one night to get a drink of water and as I was getting back into bed I saw the ghost of a small girl with long dark hair standing at the end of my bed, she was wearing wire framed glasses and a black duffle coat, she was standing there as clear as day. Hopefully being an honorary member of G.H.O.S.T will enable me to talk to the psychics and learn how to tune into my abilities and be able to sense more.
